They pretty much have to win 3 of 4 to feel like there is any chance for the second half.

Problem is, they are going on 170 games now of being 100% average. Maybe the division being awful allows them to overcome that. But every time this season that they have won a couple games and the next "big" series starts, it's 5-1 against them in the 4th inning.

I will bet you our tab at BRGRBELLY that the best the Sox do is a split.

These were their first wins in Cleveland since 2021. They're 0-3 in Minneapolis, and 1-5 against the Twins overall this season. And Eloy may not be available all weekend. Which is stupid because you can IL him today and have him back Saturday after the break.

I hate to be so pessimistic about this team, but they have proven time and time again that they are stupid and underachievers. I would love to be proven wrong.

All I can say is they will make a run. They're bound to. But don't get fooled by it, they'll shit the bed, whether in season or post season.

I thought of this over the weekend vs Detroit, yet we barely salvaged a split.

We do indeed have a playoff caliber starting rotation when Giolito does good. He seems to be the key that meks everybody else fall into place.
