Listened to the A's radio broadcast on a long walk. All said they were having difficulty following the flight of the ball. That GR Field is brutal with bad glare during day games. Detroit Comerica Park is bad too they mentioned.

The Sox woulda been better this year if they had a young manager who is tough and hungry, like Brian Roberts, Dave Martinez, Hinch, Aaron boone, , etc. Basically guys in their 40s and 50s who played in the 90s.

And all along they've had that guy right under their nose: Miguel Cairo.

When Larussa comes back he's gonna screw everything up. It's sad.

I'm having fun getting swept up in this playoff chase, but let's not delude ourselves, this team is going nowhere fast. The only thing they can do to get my grudging respect would be to win a playoff series of at least five games. Even if they pull that off, they're still probably worthy of derision.
