I know Hendricks is you man but I would seriously consider starting the 9th with Cueto. Pitch count is low enough and they haven’t come close to solving him yet.

If this team makes the playoffs, Grandal, Moncada, and Giolito should all be forced to give Cueto their playoff share.

Why not let him get the third? What kind of dumbass let’s him start the 9th but pulls him with 2 outs.

5 pitches and an early game tomorrow. Hendricks should be 100% for tomorrow.

Never make the first out at 3rd or home.

Poor command last outing. If there's ever a time to go 8 innings, today is the day.

He should rebound today, but will the White Sox score runs? White Sox seem to score more on Sunday's for whatever reason, but this feels like another 1-1 type game in the later innings.

Home runs. They havent hit a meaningful bomb in a week.

Looking up some stats, and the meatball part of me wants to say how great the pitching is in the AL Central. The reality is, it probably shows how bad the teams are…

Of the worst 5 teams in MLB at hitting HR’s, 4 of them are AL Central.

Yankees are now finally also having that problem. Grandal is losing his career over it. I hope MLB stays patient. Only big guys who hit the ball on the button should get HRs. It's time to get the Rod Carews, Rickey Hendersons, and Ozzie Smiths back to MLB. And even the Lou Brocks. Let's play baseball, not HR Derby.

I agree with you for the most part, but the problem I have is that the White Sox spent five years tanking and building a team for certain conditions and as soon as that team came to fruition, MLB changed the conditions. (This is why you should never tank.)

Anyway, we're back to baseball the way I remember it in the old ballpark when I was a little kid. You had to be Frank Howard or Harmon Killebrew to hit one out of there. That scoreboard rarely exploded. In the Thomas-Magglio-Lee era they hit more homers in a game than this team does in two weeks.

I realize the situation semi-fucks us. But it shouldn't. Abreu leads the league in hits, Anderson sprays the entire field, Moncada SHOULDN'T be fucked, nor Robert, and the pitching is solid. The HR is A problem, but it is not THE problem. It is the injuries, baserunning, defense, and the manager who is there specifically to coach them up. I know you don't believe in that, but I do. I sure would like to have the guy in the other dugout to manage this bunch.

HUUUGE win last night, it's tough to beat Bieber in Cleveland. Loved that LaRussa rode Cueto into the 9th.

This team doesnt score enough so you take a chance when you can. Harrison was at 3rd with no out on Friday, three strikeouts followed.

Yaz being GONE for a week helps the Sox more than the run would have.

The rainout sucks for the Sox. They had Cease going so you feel like that is big advantage Sox. Now you make that game up at a later date when you probably will not get a Cease game.

Same here, if Cleveland tied that game up late, La Russa would have been attacked. No win situation on that one, but glad it worked out.

Stop intentionally walking hitters on 1-2 counts. His explanation was horrible - that the batter was hitting .300; Maybe to start the count, but now down.

Stop hitting Grandal at DH. I guess that problem was solved.

Does the off-day allow them to skip Giolito in the rotation with everyone pushed back or at least push him back to next weekend vs. Arizona ? I doubt they would change the rotation, but hoping for some creativity to use our best pitchers.

Yeah. It does suck that we lost the Cease vs. Cleveland game.

At least the Twins lost today.

really felt confident in that last game. I think the Guardians felt the opposite so had no problem calling it, to the fans displeasure.

It rained nearly all morning in Cleveland. The system that came through here Saturday affected Cleveland overnight and yesterday morning. There were pictures of field on Twitter, and the warning track looked like a mud pit. Given the propensity that Sox players have to get hurt making routine plays, somebody would have slipped had had a leg amputated if they tried to play yesterday.
