Let's hope that if Tony ever returns, that it will be to visit only.

The bigger question is will he return next year.

If he is the manager again every Sox fan should boycott going to the stadium.

They came up short in the play-in game. After that devastating loss, who cares.

Since the Sox fans seem to have given up on their team , theyre currently getting their asses handed
to them ( again ) by that powerhouse Tiger lineup 7-2 .

Trade Grandal to the Cardinals. He will probably hit a little better in that lineup, and they need a catcher with Molina retiring. They have a prospect at AAA (Herrera?) who got a couple of cups of coffee this year, so Grandal would be an acceptable one year stopgap who they can slowly move into a backup role if their prospect turns out to be starter-quality.

While I would would personally love to see him go there, there is no way that happens. Grandal is not a Cardinal type of player. They like catchers who can actually catch.

you don't think players like Moncada, Grandal and Giolito are being held accountable by fans?

Don't confuse fans with the Dan Bernsteins of the world.
I don't know any fans that were excited about the TLR hire, but most have known the team in the field is a collection of meh....regardless of the manager.

With how much time you spend in this section and on #WhiteSox Twitter, you know this is absolutely not the case whatsoever.

No. The focus has been primarily on the HoF manager and not the lineup with 7 designated hitters.

I started counting the DHs to refute this post and ....well.... IT FUCKING ADDED UP.

When Vaughn, Eloy, and Abreu are on the field, they aren't even good DHs

Very true. I also don't know right now what to make out of Hahn as in who put the roster together. The 2022 roster was pathetic and the decisions made regarding changing out the dead wood has left me questioning Hahn also. I believed that this was LaRussa's stupidity but no one really knows. All I know is that in 2021 they had a horse shit bottom of the order from 6-9 and a terrible two way outfield. Nothing changed in 2022. Who do we blame? Tony, Hahn, or BOTH?

Of the 1B/DH guys, namely, Vaughn, Sheets, Abreu, Jimenez, which two have the highest upside. Its hard for me but I think that Abreu would be let go in my idea of a rebuild and replaced with a left handed hitting two way right fielder. I give Vaughn the first base job and make Jimenez my DH. I then move Robert to LF where his weak arm is not the liability that it is in CF.

This leaves Sheets as a back-up 1B and DH. If they find a quality CF (maybe a position switch for Anderson?) then they might try and trade Robert for an impact 2nd baseman or SS. I'd also give Burger the job at 3B. I think LaRussa totally screwed the line-up up drastically with his love for Moncada, Harrison, and Garcia and misuse of Burger.

As for pitching, I trade Giolitto for possibly a middle infielder along with the glut of right handed hitting outfielders in the minor league system. The other absolutely required improvement is a GOOD TWO WAY CATCHER which is another big failure in 2022.

All year we watched a terrible bottom of the order from 6-9, a terrible defensive outfield and the worst catching in all of baseball. If this isn't significantly fixed, I'm done following this team. No hustle from too many guys. Bad defense from virtually every player on the team. Poor coaching on even the BASIC types of things.

The pitchers as a group should have sued for piss poor support the entire year. Cease should have locked up the Cy Young. Cueto was a terrific addition and Lynn and and Kopech were solid starter. I like Jimmy Lambert as a starter and have great hopes for the young guys rehabbing and in the minor league system.

Who is going to trade an impact 2B/SS for a perpetually injured, weak armed left fielder?

Before he had that thumb injury, Robert was hitting the hell out of the ball. He has a lot of upside including speed and power. LaRussa was an idiot for playing him with a bat hand. Tony LaRussa should have been shitcanned before this season. This is on Reinny.

Yep. It's time to start looking at Hahn.

I dunno. I'm on the fence. The team was supposed to hit HRs. They were 22nd. 9th in leaving RISP. Also not happy about the staff giving up walks both willy nilly and at crucial times(Is Katz Nardi Contreras, Jr?). They were 8th. Defense was unacceptable and that's on Hahn.

When you win 20 less games then you are suppose to, there's plenty of blame to go around.
