Bummer is a victim of the three batter rule. He is an elite LOOGY, but his breaking pitch is ineffective vs. right handed batters.

The first batter Bummer faces has a 1.274 OPS. That's about as far as you can get from "elite." Of the 21 first batter's Bummer has faced, 11 have reached base.

Joe Kelly, who has been fucking awful this year, has allowed a .605 OPS and a .314 OB% to the leadoff hitter.
Jake Diekman, another throw off the train guy, .821 OPS and .458 OB%

The Aaron Bummer love amongst White Sox fans is sickening. He is another one of Hahn's brutal moves, but it goes unnoticed because he's either on the IL (out of sight out of mind) or he has a good breaking pitch every third game he plays.
