It seems to happen when certain guys come into the game. Its happened with Graveman, but overall he's had a nice year. Happens all the time with Bummer and Kelly. Giolito also loves to give up the lead or give back a run or two after the Sox have scored.

He's had a few notable blowups, but he's been good.

Lopez used to be that guy, but he's been supplanted by most of the rest of the bullpen.

Expecting a pitcher to have his best stuff EVERY TIME is batshit crazy.

You take that outing everyday, all season, and twice on playoff days.

I don't expect that. But I do expect a real top pitcher to be at his best in big moments. There are guys that do that. They do exist.

I'll take the top guy that gives up one over six innings to a first place team.

Cease couldn't have done this last year.

He should win the Cy Young.

We’re all going to look really stupid when the sox finish 14-0, and Cleveland goes 8-6. Then they start the World Series run!!!

Is it xenophobic to ask if building a team's hitting around four Cuban-born players may have been a mistake?

Cease has 22 starts out of 30 that are either "quality starts" or starts where he pitched 5+ and only gave up one run.

By comparison, Max Scherzer in the NL had 17 out of 21, and more of his starts were 7 IP. But he hasn't been durable, which means the Mets have had to start crap like David Petersen or Trevor Williams on those days. Answering the bell every 5 days should count for something.

Yep. At least the bets are on track. Lets get Mckenzie to 5 strike outs, preferably 6, and Ramirez an RBI.

Can you make one on whether the Sox will have a position player pitching at some point ?

Moncada is heating up! # 11 on the year, a solo shot to cut the deficit to five.

As Hawk would say, go ahead, Yoan, get hot!

Predictable after getting eliminated last night. Especially in a way where the Sox threw everything they had at them, including an extra inning comeback. If you take a step back from the much deserved criticism of 2022, it had to be a thoroughly disheartened clubhouse.

Am listening to Tom Hamilton on the call for the Guards, I think he might be the best radio guy going today.

He had these gems:

1. Describing the different feel between a game at Wrigley vs G-Rate: “The atmosphere at Wrigley is everyone is excited to go to a party, the atmosphere on the south side is everyone had a terrible day at work and is pissed off.”

2. Talking about the name of the stadium “I guess they are calling this place Guarenteed Rate field for now but the’ll change in in a year or so as they have had a bunch of names for this place over the years”

Also, spent a bunch of time shitting on the White Sox defense and the effort of the White Sox, or lack thereof.

Was this an in person report from the radio booth ?

It had to be a thoroughly disheartened Clubhouse after the division series last year. It's a feeling they know all too well.

Fuck these guys.

Bob, I know you have cock on the brain more than most parade marchers, but even a "guy" like you knows sarcasm when you see it, don't you?
