1. Meddling owner - that's how we got here in the first place. Who is to say he won't meddle in this hiring process? Or with other dugout/front office decisions?

2. Frugal owner - Reinsdorf isn't A's or Pirates cheap but it's clear he won't go into the tax for additional resources for this team.

3. Bottom 3 farm system in baseball - The cupboard is bare

4. Bad contracts and lazy veterans - Dopes like Moncada and Grandal got their money and are checked out. No way to motivate these guys.

5. Unrealistic expectations - The next manager will be expected to have this team win 90+ games and win division, but for the reasons mentioned above, that probably won't be possible.

6. One of the worst stadium situations in baseball - I don't see them getting a new stadium built. The "Move to Florida" ploy might have worked in the late 80's, but with the way Illinois' economy is fucked, that simply won't work again.
