They desperately needed a left handed starter. They also needed a sixth starter type, just in case there was some misfortune. Hahn pursued neither.

They still are going into the season with nothing at 2B. I agree that they had to give Colas his chance in RF. Their closer has cancer.

It's just not acceptable for JR, after all those years of low budget tanking followed by reasonably priced young players, to throw up his hands crying poor.
