There is two ways to look at this.

1. If you announce there is a shooting at the game you cause a panic. Then a stamped for people trying to get out.

2. If you don't announce it, you have a active shooter on the loose in a stadium. You don't know if it's not going to be a mass shooting. Don't you owe it to everybody to try to get out if possible?

No good solution, but the SOX fucked up. They should have canceled the game and told people to leave.

If the Sox were smart and have the money ( both things unlikely) they would partner with the Bears and build a new ballpark on the same land the Bears bought in Arlington Heights. With a baseball team playing there 81 or more ( playoff games) times a year, the proposed hotel, parking lot ,restaurants and casino would make that much more money, It would have to be 2 separate buildings, as the seasons overlap and teams just don't share stadiums as happened many years ago. But it could work really well. I don't believe Jerry and his ownership group has the money for it. But maybe if he sold to someone who has the money, it could work really well.
