If you are hoping to get the number 2 guy in someone else's organization. Space to do one's job is of paramount importance. It has been in the industry for a long time that it's a relatively closed shop. The major opaqueness of their process is going to be a major impediment for them to recruit openly the best and brightest amongst the sport. (He mentioned some top candidates). I don't see them leaving really good situations where they are the GM's of those clubs. They're the number 2 people in the front office but they're the GM's there. I don't see them leaving those positions to become the new president of baseball operations in Chicago because I'm just not convinced the situation there is better. Overall the decision making power... how many resources do you have?

It was delusional to say the least.

He said there was a clubhouse issue, that they resolved.... really? Why is Jackie still on the team?

Getz didn't produce any prospects.....but he is teaching fundamentals....ok....

W & S lambasted Jerry and Getz, then had an extremely disgusted Sox caller on with Getz on hold right before he came on the air. The flagship radio station has turned on Getz on day 1.

My impression today was that Getz seems ok. I'd give him a chance.

It's the eternal White Sox hopefulness in me.

It's my worst day as a White Sox fan.
