Sleeping Giants

All an observer needs to look at if the number of KC caps on those players for an intelligent conclusion of whether this made-over team going into 2024. Taking a bunch of fringe low impact players from a bottom feeder team in baseball and adding them to a bad team in 2023 is just going to probably make that team WORSE.

On paper the Dodgers should win the World Series. They probably won't.

Probably. In my judgement, the Dodgers have a really bad manager running the team. It is obvious to me that he is directly responsible for the losses to several "lesser" teams in the play-offs and world series.

Who cares what you think about the WhitSox AAA team. What are your thoughts on no one wanting Fields and would rather sign guys like, Winston, Minshew and Donald to lead their teams over Fields far superior athletic ability?

I always wonder about that. He's gotta have the highest winning percentage ever.

But he's been awful handling pitchers in the playoffs. Especially with relief pitching.

Makes no sense at all.

If he throws strikes, he's a good starter. If he doesn't, he shouldn't even be on the team.

Cubs could try and get Kopech from the Sox. He could be a stud for a decade.

First there's consequences and I like it they didn't fuck around with him not knowing and/or caring about the basics. Again, you learn a lot more and more quickly living in the strike zone than living outside of it.

Obviously, I have a big problem with coaching in today's MLB. I was almost without hope but the Rangers put a delay on me just giving up. Now I'm hoping Grifol can turn whatever that was last year into something that resembles baseball. Just slowly improve baseball-y things, that's all I'm asking.

Grifol holding Kopech and Colas accountable, while letting the other inmates run the asylum, doesn't bode well at all.

That is his main problem and a close second is his fiddling with his batting order and that includes how and where in the batting order he pinch hits. The best manager in baseball was/is Bruce Bochey. IF the Dodgers manager was Bochey, they would have 6 or more World Series championships in the last ten years or so.

I saw enough last year, thank you, to convince me that Grifol is lacking.

The Sox getting decent prospects for Cease almost feels surreal in their off-season of acquiring bum after bum.

Probably, but hope springs eternal. There's plenty of time to shit all over Grifol.

This organization is a joke.
He hit Robert with a pitch in the first inning of their final spring game, which was an intrasquad game against Charlotte.

I have been told by more than one reputable source that the policy of checking tickets for the 100 level has been done away with.

How do the Cubs stop the loser low paying fans from moving into the best seats and annoying the rich Cub fans?

Generally I do, but I haven't had upper level only seats since 2021 maybe? I've only had an issue for 'crowded' games.

But wasn't the "Simple" solution supposed to be the jettisoning of Tony LaRussa and Kenny Williams? Just Asking A Question
