Wrote to writer Chris De Luca and suggested other singers in place of Josh Groban and he replied: Shawn: I'm with ya. Josh Groban was a real head-scratcher. All good suggestions except Billy Corgan. He has aligned himself too much with the Cubs. Chris |

I heard Liz Phair. I heard Lou Rawls. I liked them both. Thank God I missed Josh Groban. And I've now been told that I just missed CHRIS BOTTI? Another wimp. A light WNUA guy with a horn. I would've gone for a horn guy from Chicago or EWF or the Ides or BS&T - but Chris Botti? He's only a hair manlier than Josh. |

CHRIS BOTTI - BAD. JOSH GROBAN - EVEN WORSE. Somebody's gonna have to torture me and tell me who's the scheduled musical guests at Games 6 & 7. If any body says KENNY G or ASHLEE SIMPSON I'm going to have to bust that party up with DISTURBED! www.disturbed1.com |

Yeah the entertainment choices were not Sox decisions, they were MLB decisions. Don't forget that MLB is run by Mr. White Bread. The guy probably thinks top 40 is hip. I never expect anything even remotely interesting from MLB in the way of entertainment. Maybe they should hire the event planners from the NFL who program the Super Bowl entertainment. Those shows may not be great, but the entertainers are more interesting and diverse than this MLB pablum. |

Good point C2C. We're probably getting artists directly from old Budro's personal CD collection. I don't see him busting out 50 Cent at dinner parties. At least those abortions at the Super Bowl are good in theory, before all the MTV choreography bullshit. |

Yeah, I think the NFL learned their lesson though not to repeat the mistake of a couple years ago when they actually had women getting abortions live on tv as the Superbowl halftime show. And PS ![]() |
