Thome quickly follows suit, a couple of veterans making rookie mistakes, not good.

Nice to see Danks come back strong, he's my guy. His change has been sweet tonight, just pullin' the string.

Salty is lucky he wasn't blocking the plate. Quentin came in there like he wanted to knock him in the 10th row.

On the WGN broadcast, Ken Harrelson couldn't believe the shortsighted warning by home plate ump Lance Barksdale towards Bobby throwing inside at Ian Kinsler with 2 out and the White Sox trying to hang on for a 3-2 win. Let's see what develops tomorrow as one of those pitchers that's thrown inside in the past, Vicente Padilla, toes the rubber for the Rangers and Bartolo Colon for the White Sox. Something tells me both teams are going to be warned ahead of time, especially if the opponents continue to throw inside at Sox hitters...

This ump warning this is ridiculous. I understand they want to prevent brawls, but you need to let the players police themselves a little bit at times. Given the history of Padilla with the Sox and Ozzie, bullshit warnings likely will be given before the game starts tomorrow.

Sometimes, Hawk's incessant bitching about the umps is way over the top. Today he had every right to piss and moan about Barksdale. He had a terrible game. Calling high strikes, then not calling them. A delayed strike call on an obvious ball to Quentin. And that joke of a call-no call at the play at the plate in the 8th was total BS.

and no questionable calls went against the Rangers either, I'm sure.

The strikezone was inconsistent for both teams last night, dipshit.

This team is absolute garbage. Can't pitch, can't hit, etc, etc.

Kenny Williams did nothing on this offseason to make this team a contender but pick up old garbage.

This team will be lucky to finish .500 for the year.

I know its only May, but this team is inconsistent as shit. I don't know how Ozzie does it.

You replace Kenny Williams with Jim Hendry, Ozzie with Lou and you just about have the Cub.

So you post about Hawk having the right to bitch about the umpire and site the examples of the poor lil' ol' white soxies getting dem bad lil; calls by dem nasty, mean ol' umpires....Then I call you out on it...and THEN you acknowledge the calls go both ways??? I'd say you are the whinny dipshit. Hawk-like!

Reading is a skill. I said Hawk had every right to be pissed at the ump for warning Jenks in the 9th inning.

Go back to buttfucking Jerry Jones and stay out of White Sox business.

apparently what you write and what you THINK you write are two different things. I'm not surprised, that can happen to people with only a 2nd grade education.

I'll keep out of the white sox business just as soon as you stay out of the cubs section.

OK...I'm done with you now!

Closer Jenks admits to purpose pitch

White Sox closer Bobby Jenks acknowledged that a pitch thrown behind Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler in Saturday's 3-2 win was intentional, the Chicago Tribune has reported.

Jenks

Asked if the ninth-inning pitch that came with two outs "got away from him," Jenks said emphatically that he threw the pitch with a purpose, after Rangers starter Kevin Millwood had hit Chris Getz and Carlos Quentin with pitches earlier.

"No, I meant to. To send a message," Jenks said, according to the newspaper. "Basically I was saying, 'I'm sick of seeing our guys get hit and hurt and almost get taken out of the game.' I threw it with intention."

Kinsler popped out to second to end the game after home plate umpire Lance Barksdale issued warnings to both teams.

Jenks added his intent wasn't to hit Kinsler.

"I'm not going to put a guy on in that situation," he said, according to the Tribune. "I was not going to hit him. I made my point with that pitch and it came across the way I wanted it to.

"I'm not going to go dirty. I was going to keep it low and behind him."

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said Jenks' pitch behind Kinsler wasn't as a result of a bench order, and that he thought Millwood's pitches that hit Getz and Quentin weren't intentional.

"That's his problem," Guillen said of Jenks, according to the newspaper. "I know what I see and what I think. I don't think it was the right moment to do it because we can get in trouble. But if he says he did it, I respect his word and I can't do anything about it right now."

Well then the ump was right and Hawk was wrong. Though, I can understand thier logic in getting ticked at the ump.

Meanwhile, props to Jenks for being the only one on this team that has the stones to throw at somebody, but what stupid fucking timing.

I appreciate what Jenks did but he deserves a swift kick in the balls if he gets suspended because of his big mouth.
