Well Thornton went 2 innings for the save last night, so unless you trust Pena, Dotel, Linebrink et. al to get it done (should Buerhle get in trouble) , i'm not sure who Ozzie would go to...

I wasn't able to watch the game but I heard Wise robbed Kapler of a homer in the 9th.

He said it was the greatest play under such circumstances he has ever seen.
Robbed a homer, kept the game perfect.
I see nothing wrong with his opinion.

I'll have to agree with him then, because I haven't seen many other plays during the 9th inning of a potential perfect game. So he was basically stating nothing then? :roll:

That's my point exactly. So Hawk is saying it's best play under those circumstances he's ever seen, even though there is only a couple other plays to compare it to? He's trying to make a gradiose statement, but he's really saying nothing at all.

Ease off the high-horse a little Frank - contrary to the way you are posting, you weren't actually part of this thing today. Just try and enjoy it.
