Yankees Non-Tender Chien-Ming Wang
By Zach Links [December 12 at 1:55pm CST]
The Yankees have non-tendered Chien-Ming Wang, according to Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (via Twitter).

The right-hander was clearly less than 100% to start the year and had season-ending shoulder surgery in July. Wang's last truly healthy season was in 2007, when he turned in an ERA of 3.70 over 199.1 innings of work.

how much could it take to land the yankees ex ace from 2 yrs ago....and we have a history of fixing washed up aces ?

I'd be all for this type of risk if we didn't already have Garcia (and Hudson as insurance). I think this type of move would make more sense for the Cubs with Harden gone, and Lilly out to start the season. They are going to be a little short in their starting rotation, and without much money to spend, this wouldn't cost much, and there's not much to lose.
