I don't know about those tools, but it would definitely be bad for me if I went blind. Therefore, I'm hoping I don't.

Although, it is apparently more accurate to determine a player's ability if you are blind yet have access to numbers, than it is to have sight.

I don't agree with a lot of the egg heads either but a basic understanding of these stats can't hurt.

I heard your Sox year in review show a few weeks back. I have to say that I thought it was good stuff. There was one caller you kept on for an extended time that you tore to shreds. I remember you said you were going to replay the last inning of Buerhle's perfect game, but you didn't have time to do that because you were arguing with that dope. Im glad you stuck with the call instead. It was funny/entertaining radio for a Saturday afternoon drive.

But, I completely agree with you about SABR stats. I think they're useful. But if you're using them as your sole evaluation of a player's worth, you're going to be mislead much of the time. If I remember right, that dip***t was using a small Jason Nix sample to conclude that he's a better baseball player than Alex Rios.

I fully understand Rios struggled last year and that he is a question for this year, but do you really believe there is an executive out there that truly thinks Nix is a better player?
