A right fielder and 5 bullpen arms would be a good place to start.

Problem is, thats how Kenny feels too. "See this is how we can play all year long" and boom, limited off season changes.

Dammit.

This is exactly right.

Don't be fooled.

I have been calling for a full rebuild since 2007, but I think this team has the most potential as any since then. Give it one more year. Blow it up at the trade deadline if it is not working.

But that is all Keyser has to hold on to right now.

Well that and waiting for the smallest of miscues by Addison Russell to yammer about.

Abreu, Anderson, Cabrera, Frazier, and Eaton are all better than their counterparts on the World Series team. That's half your lineup. When you blow it up, how do you think you will get better guys that they are?

Cabrera and Frazier will be FA's after next year. So they are not longterm CORE. They will be overpaid by someone, perhaps Sox. Anyone can do that. Cabrera is not that good anyway. Robertson is horrific. Gonzalez is OK. Those guys need to be traded if they are not cruising into the playoffs.

potential guys for 2018:

1B?
2B Saladino
SS Anderson
3B Frazier at a bloated price?
LF?
CF?
RF Eaton
DH Abreu
C? Maybe Collins here or at 1B but he'd probably be a butcher too.

Garbage-time wins. There have holes aplenty in the field and one consistent arm in the bullpen. Too many holes to plug.

Aaaaaannnd that's the real Sox team right there. A couple of studs, a few workhorses, the odd mule, and about fifteen worthless jackasses.

In baseball news, James Shields has now given up 7 or more runs in 8 of his starts this season. The last pitcher to do that was Cory Lidle. At least Cory Lidle had other talents, such as piloting small aircraft.

Your hatred of Shields balances out your love of Kenny.

It was quietly reported that the Sox complained to the league office that they believe the Padres hid medical information on him at the time of the trade. Still, the scouting information alone should have been sufficient to give some pause. I agree that his acquisition is fireable. However, what is even more fireable is that he had a string of about 5 excellent starts prior to the trade deadline where there should have been someone interested yet Hahn decided that we needed to keep this guy for another two years.

It's like the Sox front office has an inability to learn from mistakes when you see Dunn followed up with La Roche and Danks followed up with Shields.

I seriously question Hahn's testicular fortitude. How many scapegoats does this fuckin guy need? It's Kenny, it's Jerry, it's Robin, it's Coop, it's Buddy Bell, it's Doug Lauman, it's Brooks Boyer, it's Southpaw. Nothing is ever his fault. He has to be the weakest GM in sports.

"Ultimately, I sign off on offseason acquisitions or anyone signed to a contract or trades or anything else. At the end of the day, that's put in front of me. I take full responsibility for the underperformance right now. Believe me when I tell you this, the first phone call when the chairman is upset, it isn't to any of those guys. It's to me."

Nothing like cutting off the nuts of the gm to the media. Do you think Hahn and foreman have lunch together to commiserate about being puppet gms?

Bernstein just played a clip from the KC broadcasters who ripped the Sox "culture." That's what they need to change, he says.

After an error: "The White Sox are turning into the White Sox."
