I think after this latest embarrassment, it really is time to move to Vegas or Delaware or anywhere else. A history of oddities and embarrassments has followed this franchise long enough. Time to move!

7) Fan violence associated with the crazy hillbillies that attend most games.
8 ) Ozzie Guillen simulating ass rape with a reporter

barry rozner, lamentably the most consistent "other b in b&b," just took a second to say "what is it with white sox fans who still call it comiskey? why do you have some kind of undying allegiance to charles comiskey?" totally doing the whole "HURR ONLY IDIOTS CLING TO THE PAST AND STILL CALL IT COMISKEY!!!!" thing that brandishes the trademark condescension that b&b(or b) is renown for.

i know barry's doing some kind of a bit/schtick here, but the obvious answer to his (hypothetical?) question is that when the park first opened up it was called (New) Comiskey Park. when i first got to know the park it was called comiskey park. when i first started referring to the place i called it comiskey park, ergo, i got very used to calling it "comiskey" with or without the "park." over time the powers that be wanted me to call it US Cellular Field (aka "The Joan") and now it's Great Rates Ballpark or something? fuck that, i'm sticking with comiskey because that's what naturally comes to my mind when i think of the place.

if you want me to call it US Cellular Field or whatever get that name in there when the park first opens up and it first imprints itself on my brain and you're set for life. i'm not doing a bit, i'm just doing the path of least resistance.
