Bulls were horrendous on defense last year and this can only help.

It won’t move the needle. It helps to add good defenders like him and Lonzo but pretending Caruso is one of the best defenders in the league is just silly.

I think that expecting an immediate turnaround by a very bad team is unrealistic. I thought they would be better and I was encouraged by the Vuc pickup but the flaws were evident and too much to overcome. If they don’t look a lot better this season then I will be more concerned but I’ll let last season go without judging the philosophy.

I wasn’t expecting an immediate turnaround. But this season was just as bad as the past few except the only difference is we managed to lose two future 1sts for the same bad record. It wasn’t a turnaround at all. It was more of the same sloppy bullshit.

I think it’s fair to write them off, to a certain degree. I guess it’s possible they reach their potential next year and are good enough to a 7-8 seed and getting swept in the first round. But there’s no viable path to contention for this team in the next few years and all of their moves over the past 12 months has only solidified that fact. There’s no real reason for optimism - they haven’t operated any differently under new management as they did old management. They’re still overpaying role players and building around non-stars.
