D Roses trainer told the media and D Rose to watch Peterson.

Yet, you are one of the people that sees no connection ?

The only connection I see is that D-Rose's trainer tells people to watch how awesome Derrick Rose will be when he comes back from his injury.

If Rose's trainer was smart, he would tell Derrick to STOP watching Adrian Peterson. At this point, Rose is going to come back tomorrow and think he can drop 50 on his opponent in his first game. After all those AP highlights, he's going to think he can conquer the world.

Biggie - you still maintaining that Peterson has lost his breakaway speed and is playing with a limp? If so, would rushing for 2,000 yards under those circumstances be the greatest athletic feat in the history of sports?

Sorry, but you said you would always call out Q for his bogus "Cutler has a career ending neck injury per my guy" thread, and I believe this is right along those same lines.

When I posted it, a month ago, Peterson was limping and caught from behind on a 60 yard run down the middle of the field, which did not result in a TD.

Feel free to list AP runs over 50 yards that DID NOT result in a TD.

The point of the thread of course was the Comparison to Rose, which MANY didnt see any comparison, but now? All of a sudden it is a good comparison?

and this is an "AMAZING" recovery, per even some of the genius in this thread.

So do we need an "AMAZING" recovery for Rose?

I have no idea what you're talking about. Nobody said it was a bad comparison to make. So that's wrong. Nobody said this is an AMAZING recovery by AP. You said the point of this thread is to compare Rose to AP. That's what we are doing.

Big run to start the game by Peterson. It's impressive that he can do that on one leg.

So does this mean Rose will be the Finals MVP?

Is there some contest between QBo and BF about who can make the most patently dopey threads?

Per everyone else, as the Peterson recovery is the expectation for Rose.

Considering Peterson went down in December last year and started playing in Sept, Rose should be back playing March 1...at an extraordinary level? Correct?

First run today was not a TD. He only had 108 yards in the FIRST quarter.

I hope Rose was watching.

After watching Peterson run and cut like he was, that would suggest that Derrick should be able to come back and play at the same level he was. Only reason the doctors might be telling Derrick to watch AP is so he can see that eventually he can trust his knee as there is usually a lot of hesitation in trusting it when players come back.

Yes. I've been watching Peterson with D-Rose all season. I expect Derrick to score at least 65 in his first game back, and also get about 14 blocks. Lebron is literraly shaking right now.

At least we would know Rose would be capable of murder once he comes back.

I read this week that AP has a chance to break the single season rushing record.

I hope D-Rose read that too.

Quote:
Adrian Peterson inches closer to Dickerson's NFL rushing record

Eric Dickerson has held the NFL's single-season rushing record for nearly three decades, but one of the league's most dynamic rushers could pass him his season.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson finished the day against the St. Louis Rams with 212 yards of rushing, pushing his season total to 1,812 yards on the ground. Peterson is now 293 yards shy of Dickerson's single-season record of 2,105 yards.

Peterson has crested the century mark in each of his last eight games and has eclipsed 200 yards twice in that streak.

Perhaps more importantly, Peterson's big day helped the Vikings to a 36-22 win and they now sit with an identical record to the New York Giants, who hold the final NFC playoff spot. The Vikings' potential road to the playoffs won't be easy as they finish the season against two of the league's best teams in the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers.

If these results aren't good, should he have rushed for 5,000 yards to make the results "good"?

I just love the fact that AP has a good chance to literally have the greatest RB season of all time during the exact season that you guys were saying he was going to be a shell of himself.

And AP is going all of this with a "very noticeable" limp.

Not sure about a limp, but AP seems to "gallop", similar to OJ. Did AP run like that before the injury?

9 yards short of the all-time single season rushing record. Now obviously the Vikings are going to cut him in the off-season because there are too many red flags out there about him, but should the Bears or even the Bulls kick the tires on his washed up ass? I think he's headed for the CFL for sure, and might be able to make a practice squad some where.

Should Rondo start watching Peterson now, or wait until training camp starts?
