He was dealt the same hand Thibs had in his final year with the Bulls, and the Bulls made the second round under Thibs (and I believe they were the 3 seed). Hoiberg took over that same roster, and failed to even make the postseason.

The Bulls suffered twice the number of games lost to injury. lost Noah 23-15 at the time of injury. Also obvious that Gasol was on the decline. Thibs didn't have that in that last season

Thibs is a great coach. He gets guys to play hard. People may not like his methods, but you could never fault his teams for looking sluggish.

His last two teams have underachieved. The shine is evaporating by the day with him.

Make them all watch the game vs. the Celtics from 31 years ago today. For all you youngsters out there it's MJeff's 63 point game.

Fuck that's a long damn time ago. I remember watching it from the comforts of a sweltering dorm room on a 12" black & white tv, drinking a half case of Lowenbrau with a buddy down on a college tour.

Guess what Jordan never did? Win a playoff game at Boston. Luckily our new superstar doesn't have that problem.

Hawk Harrelson would consider that the best sweep of a team that he has ever seen!

You'd never know that the Bulls lost the game and were swept in that series.

To Fix the Bull:

1. Fire Gar and Pax
2. Fire Hoiberg
3. Hire literally anybody else to those positions
4. Let Mirotic walk. This alone will make a 15 win difference.
5. Resign Rondo to a max contract, let Butler and Rondo choose the rest of the team via draft and free agency. GM will be a figurehead.
6. 2017-2018 NBA Champions

Draft a potential stud... shooting guard Hamidou Diallo
He's high risk/high reward but when you're picking in the middle of the 1st round in a star driven league I say go for broke.

Just read about this kid this morning. He sounds like a good chance to take for me.

Draft him and make him be roommates with Niko and LaVergne.

I think Mirotic moves on and we welcome in either Griffin or Bosh to the Bulls fold.

It's not what I would do at this point, but I think that's their plan.

Chris Bosh may not play basketball again this season, but in the event he makes a comeback, ESPN.com’s Marc Stein reported there is at least one team interested in signing him — the Chicago Bulls. “If Bosh, who turns 33 in March, makes it back onto the floor next season, word is that the Chicago Bulls are already plotting a run and will be at the front of the line to try to sign him,” Stein writes.

Note to self Marc Stein is an idiot...KC or Fridell would be all over this
