I think it may only be a 1 year deal as well (there is a mutual option on the 2nd year). On one hand, they definitely needed a PG (sorry Calderon). He will look to push the tempo and create opportunites for his teammates, but, isn't he a known cancer? Even if he's got an improved attitude, or on his best behavior being on a short-term deal, what is the purpose of this move for Chicago? It may improve them some, but I'm still not sure this is even a playoff team, much less a threat for anything more than a quick playoff exit. |

While other front offices value becoming competitive in either the short-term or the long-term, GarPax's priority is to merely make the playoffs, get Jerry his first round playoff revenue, and preserve their jobs with talk of future aggressive moves in future off-seasons which will never actually come to fruition. |
