That's how far MCW has fallen? Holy shit. He's actually not that bad .

This must be close to being done if KC got the OK from Pax to run with it.

Snell means nothing but MCW could haunt the Bucks for years to come. He isn't that bad. Dwade will sculpt him into a star.

As a replacement for Rose (which is what you originally sought) u don't do it. For Tony Snell (and as a backup) you do it in a heartbeat. MCW is nothing more than a backup. Glad to see that GarPax feel the same way

This may work out pretty good.

At times, a change in scenery is just what some guys need to rejuvenate their careers...

Stay tuned.

I also like it from the standpoint of philosophy. The Bulls are abandoning "pace and space" and attempting to acquire guys that have more than one skill. They are throwing "analytics" to the wind. I think it is going to work. They want basketball players and not merely specialists.

He is Rondo's heir in Chicago. They are similar players and MCW will feed off of Rondo. We are in good hands.

Rookie of the year 2 years ago for Tony Snell? Bulls won that trade, Snell is garbage.

Done deal

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/1780 ... nell-trade.

Unless a guy fails a physical. Not a bad move. Paxson and Forman have made some solid moves since the end of the season. Won't make them championship contenders but they may be able to make it to the 2nd round.

These are theoretically not Hoi berg type guys but if he is a real coach he adjust to the talent that he has.

Now if they can just find a taker for Mirotic/Taj everything will be fine. Taj is playing well during the preseason however. Not buying it though.

Yep but he played in the first preseason game. Look OK moving around. The Bulls will have a glut of guards now. They will have to move at least two in order to balance the team. There are gaping holes at the 4 and 5 spots.

Portis, Mirotic, and Gibson is a fine stable of 4's to have. Hopefully Portis improves enough to move on from Gibson after this year.

Im holding hope for Portis but he is terrible defensively. He is damn near McDermott level and so is Mirotic. I'm ready to move on Mirotic. He has one of the lowest basketball iqs that I have ever seen in a pro basketball player. Shot selection stinks soft as tissue on defense and he is always out of position. They need to move him before he has MCW like trade value.

Post subject:  Re: Michael Carter-Williams

Mirotic is fine as a 6th/7th man, IMO. But yeah I think it's clear he's not a starter, which is a pretty big disappointment from what we thought we were getting.

I'm all good with that. The game has become too dependent upon that shot and it lends itself to too much bad offense i.e. Golden State during the finals. Wade and Rondo are high i.q. guys that pass well. I'm really looking forward to watching an old school style of play. I think it may work.

And secretly I think this is the style that Hoiberg prefers. Multiple guys that can pass and think on the floor as opposed to guys that want to jack 3s all day long.

I didn't watch much Iowa state but I marveled at the way he used Royce White.

I'm not an advocate of relying on it almost completely, like GS does. GS succeeds with it because they have two of the best shooters in history.

I do think it's important to have at least a couple 3-pt threats to spread the floor.

I agree with that. I think the problem with the league is that the other teams haven't figured out that they don't have Curry and Thompson on them. Mirotic plays like he wants the world to know that there is a 6'10 European Steph Curry inhabiting it.

This is a fantastic move. Snell is garbage and has no place anywhere in the Bulls rotation. MCW at least has some upside and could possibly turn things around in his career. If he doesn't, the Bulls can still cut him loose and lose nothing.
