That play was horrible and if I were coach I'd eject him myself. That being said, if you can get a prospect for trash, there's no harm in doing so. You'd figure good coaching, which the Bulls admittedly don't currently have, can fix some of his problems and then allow you to see what you have.

He isn't much of a defender but it is patently stupid to say he is garbage. Time to call bullshit on all the hypocrites posting on here. Does anyone want to pull up some of those fine defensive plays typically made by Curry? What about the fine defensive work of James Harden? (As evidenced by the 11 minute tape from 2 years ago). Please don't give me the garbage about him not being the player that either of them are also. That's irrelevant. Either defense matters or it doesn't and the kid is still just 21 years old. He has the capacity to get better as a player and anyone that is mad about him being traded for Mirotic doesn't know a damn thing about basketball.

C'mon man. You're being blinded by your Chicago loyalty here. Okafor's obviously given up on life because Embiid is 100 times the player he is. I was high on Okafor before the draft, but I think he's higher than FF on a day off work in that clip I just watched.

Don't know if he is high. Hope he isn't but I'm not going to indict him over one play. He is bad defensively but I think he can avg 9 -10 rebounds a game. That kid can score on the block. He had 28 and 10 shortly after the deadline last week.

Moving him will benefit him along with Philly.

I'm not necessarily against acquiring Okafor for the right price but his rebounding numbers are pathetic for his size and position.

That wouldn't be a deal killer for me. There few if anyone in the league that has the low post game that he has. He can get 8 or 9 boards a game. That isn't all that bad.

Based on what? Your opinion? Nothing about Jalil Okafor's career suggests that. I'm sure the arbitrary use of advanced stats will be forthcoming to dispute it since conventional stats aren't enough.

Again in whose basketball world does a 21 year old kid with rookie avg of 17 and 7 suck? Before the off the court stuff last season he probably was the favorite for Rookie of the Year.

Message board narratives can't change that. If Philly truly thought the kid was terrible they would have given him away as they did Noel. That is what you do if you really believe someone is a bum.

This doesn't make much sense to be honest. The only reason his numbers are down this season is because of Embiid. This is another one of those message board narratives that doesn't really past the smell test.
