Guys in the NFL have to be pissed seeing guys like this bum getting 27M for 2 years even with year 2 being a team option.

Not seeing what the guaranteed $ was. His qualifying offer was 6.5M I think. Why pay a dime more??

This. There's still a chance he becomes what they thought he would be when they originally signed him. Not likely but still worth the gamble. If not they still get the high draft pick and the plan goes on.
