Zach Lavine isn't a point guard. Coby White was supposed to be the starting point guard according to MANY on here.

Fultz is much better at basketball than Coby White. Thats the point.

Coby White stinks and for 3-4 months a .357 being pointed at someone's head still wouldn't force them to talk about him on here.

And "heading for the lottery" is no great prize either

I’ve made no grand pronouncements about the ability of Coby White. It may be simply he doesn’t start because he sucks, but it’s just as possible he doesn’t start because the Bull’s management are idiots.

Its also possible that are humans on the moon too.

Its more than likely that a shooting 39% (even after his vaunted hot streak) with poor assist to turnover ratio for a point guard and shitty defense sucks.

His Per 36 numbers (Imu just loves those until he doesn't)are 18 pts and about 6 to 7 assists per game. Some bust. He also is shooting 48% from the field with an assist to turnover ratio of 2 1/2 to 1 while playing decent defense. Again some bust.

This is in essence the kid's rookie year and 18 and 7 isn't league avg by the way. They brought the kid along slowly because they are a team that is trying to make the playoffs. They have established NBA players on their team. He has played well this season in the role that in which they've used him.

His play has helped lead to two consecutive blowout wins. One of them against one of the better teams in the league. Coby White can't scratch the starting lineup for one of the worst teams in the league and nothing about his play suggests that he should.

They destroyed his value with all of their shenanigans and traded him so that they could resign a few other guys. They didn't want to have to pay the $9 million that would have been called for this year. Plus there was doubt that he would ever play again. (See this board)

You call the Bulls head coach a moron anytime you can (I agree, Boylen is a moron) but right after that you want to use the fact that Coby isn't in the starting lineup against him? Even after the media asks Boylen why Coby isn't starting and Boylen has no good answer besides 'he likes the way the rotation looks.'

Boylen can and is all of what you describe. That doesn't mean that COby White also isn't bad at basketball.
His early season numbers were atrocious. He should not have been starting then and if he weren't a high draft pick he would not have even been playing.

He was shooting 36-37% for much of the season. That isn't on Boylen. He was playing and stinking the joint up He routinely posted the worst plus minus on the team after every game. While this occurred MANY here were conspicuously silent. Check the gaps in the posting in this thread alone if you need confirmation.
