Butler wasn't even honorable mention all NBA last season.

that was last year

Must have missed where it was already decided this year. Please post the selections for All NBA this season.

Harden Lebron Doncic Giannis Kawhi

As is Joel Embiid for you Willy Nilly.

Shooting 49% from the field and 39% from deep in December. He'll be alright.

Nah this actually started at the tail end of last season. He was playing poorly for awhile.

Every player goes through peaks and valleys. November of 2019 is an outlier of poor performance when look at the splits of his entire career though. October and December of this year are more expected results. We'll see how the season continues, I'm quite confident his shooting percentages are going to continue to improve this year as positive regression hits.

He is currently shooting 40% from the field and 32% from 3. Even more alarming are his rebounding #s. 7 rebounds in 30 mins per game for a PF is pretty putrid.

He has a lot to correct. I hope that he does because it makes them a better team but I'm losing hope on that front.

His #s across the board are worse than Jabari's and to a man most people on here want to toss Jabari into the Atlantic Ocean. Well if Jabari is terrible then Lauri must be too.

I just explained why all of that is and explained why he's likely to continue his improvement this year.

If he plays in 30+ more games there's almost a 0% chance he finishes under a 41% FG% for the season this year.

He has never shot 49% and 39% in any season that he has been a pro. His career numbers are actually closer to 40% and 32% than they are 49% and 39%.

Every player has the proverbial "hot streak" at some point during the season. Your avg is however your avg. We will see at the end of the year but I am starting to have doubts as to whether "Dirk for Short" will ever be anything more than an overhyped Ryan Anderson.

His two seasons prior to this were 43.4% and 43%. He's been consistent over multiple years. His November slump was a big one, and it's lowered his averages.

Yes, 0% chance he finishes under 41% for the season this year (assuming at least 30 more games played). Got $100 on it if you're interested

Are you suggesting that his season #s will be above 41%?

43% is abysmal for a guy touted as a shooter by the way.

I didn't think I could be any more clear on this.

I'm saying he will finish the season shooting 41.0% or better. If he shoots 40.9% or worse, I would be wrong and I would lose the bet if we made one.

His career norms are abysmal too. That is the biggest problem. The hype has yet to match the output.

Bump

Quote:
Through the first two months, the Bulls limped to a 6-14 record. Markkanen’s poor play was a large culprit — he shot just 34.9 percent from the field and 28.2 percent from 3. Both those numbers represented the lowest percentages in the league for any player with at least as many shot attempts.

But Markkanen finally started to turn around his season in 14 December games. He shot 51 percent from the field and 42 percent on his 3-pointers and the team also improved its play en route to a 7-7 record in those games.

Yeah while Bam is currently a borderline All Star and arguably the team's best player. My guy Porter got his first start the other night and dropped a cool 19 on 8 of 10 from the field.

Even if Lauri recovers he still will only be the 3rd best of the 3 and Carter Jr. is a no show in all of this.
