How much better would the Bull's future look if they had those 2 guys as opposed to the 2 guys they selected?

Your first mistake is assuming those guys develop with the Bulls. Especially when you include injury rehab.

Yes, think where the Bulls would be with those 4 points and 2 rebounds per game.

I can't assume they won't. I will just look at where they are now and presume the same would have occurred had they been with the Bulls.

That’s a bad presumption given our front office, coaching staff, and medical staff.

Michael Porter is on a contending team. His minutes and production will increase as they season progresses. Plus he is playing behind a solid 3 man in Will Barton.

Wendell Carter Jr. is a default center on a team where the 2nd best is a backup 2nd round draft choice

There is nothing to suggest at this point that MPJ will be a great player.

I will be able to live with that. I like Lauri but Bam is a decidedly better pro right now and I MPJ will be decidedly better than Wendell by this time next year.

If the Bulls had these two guys their future would be much brighter.

His talent suggests that. WCJ looks like a rotation player on a good team.

A mannequin off State Street would be an improvement over Lauri. That 2017 draft was horrible.

WCJ is fine as your fourth best guy.

Bam is unquestionably better right now but you're looking at this wrong. Guys like him and Kendrick Nunn develop better in Miami, because they are a better organization top to bottom than the Bulls and really it's not close. It's impossible to determine how he would have developed on teams like the Bulls or Knicks.

Eirk Spoelstra is goofy looking but man, it looks like that guy can coach the hell out of it.

The Heat poached Nunn from the Golden State system.

Miami didn't develop Kendrick Nunn. They recognized his talent. Bam was probably better than Lauri in college also. He was a top 5-10 guy coming out of high school.

The Bulls like MANY fell in love with a 7 footer that shoots 3 but failed to see that their is more to the game than that. Bam better at every facet of the game besides that.

I'd rather take the chance that they draft them and don't develop as opposed to not drafting them at all. WCJ is an extremely limited basketball player that happens to be undersized for his position. The Biggest mistake that they make continue to make happens to do with player evaluation.

Their evaluations of players has been bad ever since Forman has been GM.

When Michael Porter Jr is putting up 25 and 10, then I will start pitching a fit.

Yep. He should have made G.S.'s team last year.

13 teams wrongly passed on Bam then.

If Lauri was on the Heat and Bam was on the Bulls this thread would still exist but would look the opposite

Bulls medical staff would give him a spinal tap and get him fixed up in no time.

No they didn't. There were guys in that draft (Tatum, Mitchell) that have turned out to be solid pros. Lauri isn't a bum its just that Bam is better. I can't worry about the others that missed. Paxson and Forman keep missing. That is the problem.

Lauri has some sort of heart condition or mental illness. That couldn't have been predicted. Guys don't all of a sudden lose their game at 22.

A year ago, if you polled 100 NBA execs I bet not a single one would have taken Bam over Lauri. In fact in redo's of the 17 draft last year, Lauri was most often the 2nd or 3rd pick. Yes, right now his stock is rock bottom. I still blame the stink of Boylen.

seriously? Did you SEE HIM PLAY IN COLLEGE?

He is exactly what I thought he would be.

And Carter will be just fine, he was a good pick in my book.

No I saw him play his first year and a half in the NBA. He's a different guy today. He's gained like 20-30 pounds so maybe that resulted in him losing a couple of steps.

Lauri didn't really play all that well down the stretch last season either. When I look at his tools they don't compare to What Bam Adebayo does on a nightly basis. I don't expect that to change in the very near future either.
