I doubt whether Pat Riley would ever draft a Lauri type player to begin with.

In the end, Bam is just a guy. A nice player. The day this FO fucked up the '18 tank and blew a chance at Luka, that was the fail.

Bam Adebayo might be the Heat's best player.

He's not better than Butler. You know this.

Definitely not their most hyped player.

Bam Adebayo is a difference maker and the most indispensable player on their team.

Not a player, but Spoolstra is the most indispensable piece.

Bam's good. He still has some things to clean up. When your primary ball handler averages less turnovers than your center, it's hard to make the case the center is more indispensable.

By the end of the season he just might be.

He checks a lot of boxes for you

Bam is Avg 11 boards and 5 assists per game. Not to mention 16-17 points per.

Awfully Good.

I'm not disagreeing that he's very good. I've said that every step of the way. But Butler is averaging more assists and less turnovers, and is playing probably the best ball of his career so far. I think Bam himself would tell you Butler is the best player on the team.

As much as I want the Bulls front office to die of Ebola...passing on Bam really isn't something you can get them on. Show me who had Bam top 5-7 in the draft? Lauri was a much better prospect then, like I said, he was even more regarded last year.

Plenty of other stuff you can shit on them for. Plenty.

Butler won't be All NBA

At some point they have to hit on some the guys that they draft. White will be a flop. If he isn't already.

They have to get a superstar. Either via draft or they have to cowboy the fuck up and figure how to do it in free agency. Misses like Bam kinda suck but they don't move the needles that much.

Just to reiterate. There was one guy that regularly posts here that was all in for Dennis Smith jr.

Butler is top 10 NBA. Adebayo might make an all-star team some day.

Thats why they should have taken a flyer on MPJ. He has superstar potential. Thats enough for me.

Top 10 might be generous. He's #6 currently on Basketball Reference's MVP tracker right now though, and that tracker has historically been pretty accurate

Butler wasn't even honorable mention all NBA last season.

Mostly based on their record. They have played one of the easiest schedules in the league. They will come back to earth soon.

Must have missed where it was already decided this year. Please post the selections for All NBA this season.
