Jim Jackson once had a big game for the first three quarters and was talking mad shit. Jordan got really hot, dropping about forty, hammered Jackson and once JJ got to the line, Mike said to him that "You talk a lot of shit to me when you're wearing MY shoes".

Jim Jackson had no role in the rest of the game.

You would think if you're wearing someone's shoes to not talk shit to him, that the hierarchy placing you below him is set and formalized.

That story was told on the score last week by Kendall Gill.

We were drinking with him one night and a classmate who'd played D1 ball was talking. MJ simply dismissed him with a crack about how my friend got better in his own mind with every drink. And then MJ told him how his coming hangover would let him know how stupidly drunk he was.

Yeah, but have you heard the one Snake Norman put on Steve Smith (?) before a game.

Involved an alleged conversation involving Juanita. Being Jordan adjacent gave you content.

 Yeah I’m not sure I’d be bringing up any non professional athletic accomplishments I may have had to the best player in his craft .

One of the last times I remember drinking Crown Royal.

I was so bombed that I was offering to buy drinks that night. And half the group were long time pro athletes. Fanboy to the next level that night

He is too savage for these times. Maybe he'd make it in the NFL but they'd be suspending him and shit in the NBA, greatness be damned. Could you imagine how MJ would feel about stacking teams?

He would left the court in a wheelchair after MJ mind-raped him.

It's because MJ grew up before pre-picked AAU teams dominated on the circuits. His life long motivating factor was not making varsity in high school. Hyped prospects today don't go through that type of adversity.

The Bad Boy Pistons still hate the Bulls to this day. NBA guys now are all friends. It's good for the players, but sucks for the fans.

One of my greatest regrets in life is never meeting Michael Jordan in person.

I had two chances, but they never panned out. One was at a VIP party at a bar downtown that I no longer remember the name of. I showed up late and he had left out a bout a half hour earlier.

The other was when his son was playing in High School. He came to my buddy's sons' school to watch his oldest son play. My buddy's kid was a pretty big deal at the time, and he invited me to the game and said we could meet Michael. I didn't go. Can't even remember why, but I didn't go, and my buddy sat next to Mike the whole game and they had a few conversations about "The Game" (of basketball).

Nice to see Shaq spending the quarantine smoking copious amounts of weed.

Bulls had better depth. Shaq would get 40 and 20 but Jordan and Pippen would neutralize Kobe. Kukoc, Kerr, etc would be too much on top of Jordan and Pippen.

If Shaq doesn't think Phil would send in every big man he had to spare to knee him in the nuts and elbow him in the eye until he was either too hurt to continue or so pissed off he'd be tossed from the game, he's high.

Never mind Rodman specifically ... my God, Rodman would've had a field day.

so he, Penny Hardaway, Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott, Horace Grant, etc, got swept by the Bulls, but he's the "factor."

Never mind the fact that the Lakers team Shaq is talking about was swept out of the playoffs by the Jazz who then lost the finals to <checks notes > the umm...Bulls.

Plus the Lakers third title was gifted to them when the league refused to let the Kings win game 6 of the WCF.

yeah I love Shaq, but he is way off here. Rodman drove him crazy every time they played. He would get his, but the Bulls would win the series.
