working on several deals, said: ''It would be better for all concerned if

we can trade Reggie. All the attention has been focused on him lately

and it has not been good for our other players.'' Johnson, 6-10 1/2 and the Kings' top draft choice in 1981, provides the

Bulls, who have a five-game winning streak, with the strong backup

center they have been seeking

Yeah they tanked.

They were 28-54 in the season those stats you highlighted were from :lol:

It’s obviously LTG because putting up big numbers on trash teams like Melo did always impressed him

If they weren't interested in tanking they would not have traded him while they were on a 5 game winning streak with him playing well. They went from contending for a playoff spot to contending for the No.1 pick overnight.

If benching him made them so much better then they never would have gone 6-21 after he was traded.

Oh yeah. Funny how tanking is 'stupid" and "doesn't work" yet from 84-95 8 championships were won by teams that tanked.

If your best player leads you to a 28-54 record the previous year it just means your “best” player isn’t very good. Trading a guy that’s not very good, a guy that carried you to a 5-14 record when he started and then your record improved when you benched him doesn’t scream “tanking.” Sure their record was bad after they traded him, not surprising that the guys who put together the 28-54 team missed on talent evaluation.

Trading Nick Foles would not make the Bears more likely to lose.

Assuming that you can't sign a player off the street who is just as good then trading a player for draft picks makes your current team worse. If the player you are trading isn't better than an unsigned player then you also aren't tanking by getting rid of them.
