I turned off Clemson/OSU also because there were HOURS of commercials. Football in general has a problem with downtime and I don't have the patience.

That is a very real part of the problem. That the quality of play has also regressed doesn't help.

Nor do the hordes of bland, if not annoying broadcasters

Then they will lose 3 out of the next 4. Wake me up after the all-star game. I hope by then they will have developed some consistency.

I don't know how anyone could watch a college or NFL game in real time. Especially college. Can some explain to me why NFL games last 3 hours, but college games routinely go 4 hours?

If I want to watch a football game I record it and then fast forward through the snap count and anything that goes on between snaps as well as all commercials. I can watch an entire game in less than a half hour with that method.

You can tell they are being coached now. But even so, I can't watch more than a quarter. There's no there, there.
