Seeing a lot of talk on twitter about either Lonzo Ball or Dennis Schroder.

Are either of them the answer for the Bulls?

Schroder has a close relationship with Donovan which may impact things.

If Schroder is the answer then we might has well have Gar/Pax back.

Not really but both would be an upgrade over Coby White who sucks. The asking price for both is too high but if I had my choice it would be easily Schroeder.
Most people are clamoring for Lonzo on the Bulls for some strange reason.

Yeah that went bad fast. He might be asking for too much and his analytics do not grade out very well.

Any point guard that plays alongside Lebron will have problems because he is in effect the point guard. Rondo managed ok but he came off the bench for the most part.

He would be a huge upgrade over whatever it is the Bulls currently have at the position however.

From what I was reading it sounds like that money is going to Schroder or Lonzo. Much prefer Lonzo but it really doesn’t matter. It’s going to be several years before the bulls are good regardless.

If Lonzo is on the Bulls with all of the major players back (less Lauri) they will be good next season.

Nah. They’re a .500 team at best without any reasonable scenario to be good before 2025

Assuming that they acquire Ball and become a better team with an upgrade at PG, how much better is this team? Are they capped out for the near future and a borderline playoff-type team, assuming health? Obviously, Patrick Williams needs to become a stud to give them 3 higher-end players, but just seems like they will better, but there is a ceiling on this version.

On paper, Ball-Lavine-Vuk looks like a really good core but I don't think the sum will equal the parts.

Is Schroder just a better version of Coby White? Maybe not a perfect comparison, but he may regret turning that 4 year/80 million deal with the Lakers. I don't see how he makes much sense unless the Bulls can get him on a 1 year deal if he's squeezed by the rest of the free agents available.

By the way, I just don't understand how a team like the Bulls are always near the cap while the Lakers can continue to add stars every off-season. We're stuck wit the mid-tier type free agents while teams like LAL can just re-load every off-season despite having James and Davis on that roster already.

I believe Ball is considered a solid defender, but can a team win consistently if the top two players don't play defense?

Overpaying Schroder is about the worst possible outcome this summer so that's what I believe the Bulls will do.

I thought that too, but the 2nd half of this past season gives me questions...They got exponentially worse after the trade deadline, Donovan reminded me of Hoiberg and they gave away Gafford who looked legit for the Bullets.

That Vuc trade was awful. I’ll believe this administration is better when the results on the court reflect that. So far they haven’t.

Lonzo Ball Sucks. I honestly hope the Bulls don't sign him. Particularly for the coin he is asking for. Would be an upgrade over Coby but that's only because Coby blows too.
