Lonzo Ball and Coby White For John Wall? Houston wants to get out from under that contract. Bulls would have to eat a year and a half of salary.

The way the league is constructed this year it just might be the move to put them over the top.

Bulls might have to throw in another bench guy in order to make the deal work. I don't know NBA deals have to be dollar for dollar.. I just think they have to fall within a certain percentage to make them work.. I don't know for sure but this is probably the only move out there that's doable that can put them over the top this year.

Would you do it?

Nah. Wall has injury issues which would require load management. Plus we'd take a bit defensively by losing Lonzo. I'd rather have the PG be pass first since we have three large mouths to feed already. Adding a fourth mouth who's also responsible for distribution would make it clunky.

I don't think he is a load management guy.

Didn't they cut off his foot or something?

Still has his foot to the best of my knowledge.

Wall is owed over $44 million this season and over $47 million next year.

Yeah...good luck with that.

This year the Bulls would only be paying about half of the 44 million. Depending on when the deal is done.

I looked it up. He woke up one morning, got out of bed, and his foot fell off.

Does the city of Chicago have similar vaccine mandates to NYC? Kyrie would establish the Bulls as the favorite in the East.

He would but I don’t believe the Bulls have the requisite pieces to facilitate the move. Nets would want more than Ball and Coby.

He'd be good to go in Chicago vaccination wise.

He’s a free agent at the end of the season (more than likely opting out). The Nets aren’t going to get equal value back and they know it. If he is going to play basketball this season, it’s got to be in a different uniform.

Also, his camp has said he’d retire if traded to Philadelphia. It must really suck to be in the Nets front office.

If I were the Nets I think I do that. Irving is a headache - even if he comes back he's probably going to miss another 20 over the season to randomly volunteer at soup kitchens or whatever. Get what you can and get out.

If this were a normal (superteam) year I'd say no don't do it. Since it's not I say go for it. The Bulls have shown they can win without the immortal contributions of Coby White. In the case of Lonzo they'd miss his defense and perhaps his 3 point shooting. I don't think he will shoot at a 42% clip the rest of the season though.
I'd do it. Wall can still play and they wouldn't need him to be the same guy he has been. They just need for him to be good. If he isn't then they can move him after the season in a salary dump.

Having said this there is no way in hell AK makes this move. Too many risks involved. He should though.

No one is taking the 47 million it cost for Wall.

The Bulls don't need to shuffle the guards.

They need a big mean man.

To get a ring they should. The NBA is wide open this year.

Seems to me you could get Wall for nothing. But you can't get a big contract in the NBA for nothing. And that's why Houston is stuck. If Wall wants to play this year, he has to agree to a buyout.

I actually think someone will take on the contract at some point.

Which he is not going to do. Unless it is 95 cents on the dollar. Then maybe he will.

A crippled John Wall isn't going help anyone get a ring. I'd agree if it was 2013. With due respect this is one of the weakest arguments you've offered in this section.
