Hopefully he’ll make himself useful and take a run at Grayson Allen.

Shows how important Lavine is
Make it a blank check and pay him

That would be a huge mistake. They shouldn't pay him anything more than the low 30's

They are the 7th best team in the East with a 2 yr window. Now what? I know the thought that has crossed every Bulls fan mind is Street Clothes.

Actually they really aren't. They can easily be a top 4 team in the East. 3 of their top 6 players missed a half of the season or more. Lavine Missed about 20 games as well. The Bulls problems are really an easy fix.

Shore up the bench by
1. Finding A Rim protecting 5
2. Finding a backup point guard. I would also look to move Ball too but that isn't going to happen
3. Trading Coby White and fast. No more waiting for that bum to "get better" either. Deal him now.
4. No Anthony Davis either. Oft injured guy that you have to pay max money too. Nah I will pass on that. And Anthony Davis as your franchise guy hasn't been shown to actually do all that much. N.O only made the playoffs once in the 7 years he was on the roster. Even when there were other good players on the team. Nah on him.

Pipe dream, but a trade for Gobert would cure a lot of their problems. Somehow dump Vuc as part of it and that’s an actual reset that may get them somewhere.

The Utah situation seems unsustainable.

Completely agree with all of those.

I am not sold on giving Lavine a max deal, but it sure seems that is where they are headed.

Yeah I think that is where they are going too. I think part of it is Lavine the player and the other is based on Lavine the organization guy. He seems like a good dude and he has weathered the storm with respect to all of the dysfunction over the years.

The key to all of this is going to be Patrick Wiliams. He should take a huge leap forward next year barring injuries. If that happens (which I think it will) then this team will take a huge leap into that next tier of franchises.

Even if it does happen for him and the team in the regular season, the matchup game in the playoffs are still going to do them in. You cannot have Javonte Green guarding the freak. That is on AK, as there are always 7'0 foot backup bigs and 6'10 PFs that do nothing but rim and rebound floating around.

And I actually believe that Billy D is really really married to the concept playing small regardless of what they have on the roster. They aren't going anywhere with that.

I think he was committed to that plan because of the roster he was given. If he had a rim protector I think his plans would be different.

I hope so because that small ball crap isn't going anywhere. Those wide open 3s that the Allen's, Connaughton's and Portis's were getting are out next round. Boston locks up defensively and they will not have to help on Giannis nearly as much as the Bulla were. There were like 3-4 guys on whenever he Penetrated. That were taking practice jump shots the entire series as a result.

I saw 1 mock draft which had the Bulls selecting Walker Kessler from Auburn - 2nd in the nation @ 4.6 blocks per game.
