Anyone watch the first preseason game with Pelicans?

Did Zion look like a star player with the weight loss?

I admittedly did not watch the game, but from what I've read and looking at the box score they have seem to have the same weakness from last season - no interior defense. At this point I wouldn't mind them taking a flyer on DeMarcus Cousins in a sort of "what do they have to lose" scenario. They aren't going anywhere giving up 30+ pts per quarter.

I had the game on in the background. Interior defense still blows. Drummond helps a little bit with that. It's nice to see a legit 7 foot big man grab boards and block shots wearing a Bulls uniform.

Dalen Terry looked awesome. Dude is long and can play defense. He brought so much energy.

Terry has a little more offensive game than he initially showed in the summer league. The Bulls may have found a player in that dude.

I watched a bit. Still think Zion's going to blow out a knee one of these days.

Bulls are who we thought they were. Not good enough. Zach has clearly worked on his game offensively and is still a waiter defensively. This way to the hoop, sir....

They're not that good Cousins would do nothing for them defensively. Hilarious to see that dude beg.

Not even going to bother following this year, both Lavine and Ball's knees are fucked. They won't even make the play in game.

The Bulls are fucked. They should not have given LaVine the max contract.

DeRosan: old
LaVine: hurt
Williams: pussy
Vucevic: pussy
Ball: dead

And Ball’s dad can go to hell, bitching that his kid should take his time returning. And Billy Donovan “I feel bad for Lonzo, because he loves to play.” Who the fuck cares? He’s stealing.

Ball and LaVine nursing knee injuries/issues in October casts a super obvious dark omen over the season. 35 wins max and copious amounts of disappointment.

yep he is a damn thief. He could have been had the surgery. Instead he pretended as if he was trying his hardest to get back on the floor when in reality his intention was to milk this bullshit injury from the very beginning. Sort of like Pippen circa 1997. Now they can't even trade his bum ass because he has no value. If he ever really did anyway.

No worries. My guy "The Paw" will step up tonight in the absence of the ball stopping, vastly overpaid Zach Lavine. Zach is my guy but I have a sneaking suspicion that his contract will be one of the top 5 worst contracts in the league as early as the end of the season. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think I am.

Pippen's case is an interesting one. The team/Krause took a hardline approach to one of its most valuable employees and he just returned the favor. Not gonna look into my deal after all I've done for the team? Fine, I'm not gonna look into having an earlier surgery. If he were treated better there's no doubt he would have had the surgery earlier. That's a classic case of bad human resource management on the part of Krause.

You mean the deal he signed when Reinsdorf himself told Pippen it wasn't a good idea because he wouldn't redo it later on? Pippen took the security of a long-term deal for less money because he wasn't confident in staying healthy enough to get a third contract.

In Smith's Jordan Rules Smith said Pippen took the deal because he grew up dirt poor and wanted the security of that contract. It wasn't about health, if I remember correctly. In relationships, as you know, you can bend the rules here and there if you value the relationship. That's all the Bulls had to do.

Cowley asked LaVine if this day-to-day management is the new normal.

“I don’t know,’’ LaVine said. “I wish I had a crystal ball to look into the future, I really do. It would be great if I could figure that out. I’ll look up some lottery-ticket numbers if I knew that.’’

 I'd say he already hit the lottery for $215 million.

You see all these average guys the last few days signing 4 year $95 million dollar contracts. Goran Dragic is making $2 million this season.

It's a wonder that the Bulls knocked off such a quality team with my guy "The Paw" only scoring 4 points.

Do you think Patrick Williams is meeting expectations as the #4 overall pick? Just Asking Questions

Currently speaking, No. But to quote the great Dan Jiggetts, "I'm not worried".

I also think the way Billy Donovan uses the kid stinks. He didn't even receive his first touch til 4 minutes went by in the game.
It's obvious to anyone that the kid (like the overwhelming #of players in the league) needs the ball in his hands in order to be effective.

That rarely if ever happens on this team with him.

Hey besides the triple single, he was also the only starter with a negative +/- for the game.

I have been a supporter of the kid, but things are not looking good. Had to battle for even a starting spot with an average player. First game is a no show. We can blame Donovan for how he uses him, but the kid has to show some aggression. Looking more and more like a bust.

Nah that's on him. He should at least average about 6-7 a game. But even if he did it still wouldn't matter to a dude like you CB.
