I was told the other day that Scottie Pippen (Not Rasheed, Or Steve Smith, Bonzi Wells, Damon Stoudamire, or Arvidas) was the dude that made it happen for THOSE PORTLAND JAILBLAZERS. A closer examination of the actual record clearly demonstrates that Pippen's actual numbers are "eerily" close to those of a player that the author of the statement repeatedly bashes. Even going so far as to label said player a "bust". How about "we" just simply take a "deeper dive" shall we?

Another brainwashed Jordan worshipper. Pippen made the playoffs for five consecutive years after leaving Chicago, including taking the Lakers to seven games in the western conference finals. He was part of revitalizing the basketball scene in Portland as part of the unheralded jail Blazers squad. Meanwhile Jordan went to Washington where his signature move was to cut the minutes of promising rookie Richard Hamilton so he could insert a 40 year old ball dominating free agent SG into the lineup (himself). Jordan never reached the playoffs post Chicago without Pippen by his side. Sorry to shake your faith.

After that 1st year in Portland where they blew Game 7 to the Lakers, he was cooked. Guy had a ton of miles on him. Patty Cake has a ton of mile.

A little birdie suggested that he was the key to Portland's success back then?
