Is he not getting enough respect from ownership again?

Las Vegas appeals to him. Maybe Bathhouse Betty has a residency.

Campbell & Oduya obviously. TVR & Kruger to Las Vegas in expansion draft.

Trade Panarin or Crawford.

Bring up young d-men and stick with them! Defense look very old and tired, need our prospects to step in and take on some of the load.

Find a center or two that can win faceoffs on a consistent basis.

They only get one claim per team.

I'll bake my shit and eat it before I root for anything having to do with Las Vegas.

With all the no movement clauses, all you can really do is make a commitment to getting younger at every open position.

Desardains, TooToo, Oduya, Campbell and Rosival all need to be replaced by players under 25. You put out anything for takers on Towes. Seabrook, Hammer and Hossa.

They have to gut the defense and get rid of 2 of the big contracts. This is probably impossible so they will likely just be older and increasingly average for a long time. You can probably trade panarin since the great short one can take his spot and not cost anything for a bit. In hope there are some future coyotes on the plane ride home tonight.

ill take the 3 cups and this dilemma any day. I think he can get takers in 19, 4 and 2. 4 isn't that expensive and doesn't have a billion miles on his body like 2.

Florida and Uncle Dale would take Toews in a heartbeat, but the Hawks PR machine isn't trading him.

Ever since Toews and Keith for that matter started taking those bullshit Onnit supplements their play has gone to the gutter.

I really think the concussions & back problems have reduced Toews' ability to play physical.

I would like from a Hawks standpoint to trade Crawford & Panarin to the Islanders for Leddy & Anders Lee.

Re-sign Darling, bring in a veteran goalie as a backup.

I still would be terrified to see Darling as the starter, but if you can find a way to move Crawford, now is the time.

Hammer may not be as old as KeithBrook, but he has been beat to hell.

Panarin is probably the easiest to trade and get back some value.

Would Toews want to play for his hometown team?

I don't think toews or Crawford are going anywhere.

Gotta try and trade seabrook anyway you can

If hossa decides to retire (possibly), does the money he is still owed count against the cap or can they pay that without it affecting the cap? if he retires

Retires, 100% against the cap. He would have to have an injury and go on a list.

Could they do like with Pronger and have him be "injured" for the next 10 years? I wasn't sure how Philly pulled that off.

Oh and 19 isn't going anywhere.

Those contracts to Seabs and Toews are going nowhere even if Bowmans wanted to dump them. Unless the cap goes up it's going to be a lot of teams like this one. Hopefully they can draft well and hit on some but you don't have a lot of wiggle room when 4 roster spots eat up 33 million of your cap for next 6 years.

To free up some space for next couple years you pray Vegas picks Kruger. Also you could try to trade Hammer and probably Panarin which blows.

Yes. That is the only way unless he plays out his deal, to well....deal with this.

Didn't they manage to trade the contract to Phoenix for cap relief, too?

Yes, the NHL helped them with that. He was/is working for the NHL Office and getting paid of the Yotes/NHL. Ohhh, and playing in Hockey charity games.

Yeah the league pay back to the Hawks Hossa contract shannigans was a kick to the nuts. Hey, they had a good run of 6-7 years that's about the lifespan of most dynasty.

It was. Although I always envisioned the dynasty end to be something like losing in the ECF a few times, but at least putting up a fight. I didn't see getting swept/embarrassed in the 1st round happening. They got old, slow and bad overnight.

We said the same after the 2nd cup. I am hoping for this to light a fire for next year. I hope they are all embarrassed.
