I am not sure how much he had to do with it but getting another coach to address the atrocious power play and face offs might help. Or adjusting some other strategic thoughts.

Sure, but he always came off as clueless in those interviews before periods. I think the guy blows donkeys in his spare time.

They were 8th in goals scored during the year . I'm having a hard time believing whatever he did to facilitate that went away in the playoffs . They were out-everythinged in the Nashville series . I know you can't fire the team and that someone had to be the fall guy but it's even near enough in the realm of fairness to put it all on him

Yea, for sure.

I get it though. This is Bowman basically letting Q know that he is on a tight leash next season.

I'm sure Q lost alot of say on roster decisions as well.

No he didn't. He was the one always saying how we need to make simple plays and get pucks to the net.

It sounded like the Q country club is done. The DH article talked about how the veterans ran the team and Q had a lot of off days.

I just wish these shitheads would stop the greasy goal talk. I hate that terminology, and the Hawks rarely park in front of the net relative to other teams.

PP and PK has pretty much sucked the entire time he's been here.

If they're thinking ahead, they should bring in a fairly well regarded young coach with an eye towards replacing Q when he retires.

Kitchen was there to be Q's binky and little else. It's just like how Lovie Smith had all his flunkies who were terrible coaches but loyal soldiers. Good friend, bad coach, bad season, get gone.

Seems like the obvious move would be to poach Phil Housley from Nashville.

Read the Trib article about just that concern.

And I thought Brian Campbell was too old, Phil Housley? Geez.

Wocka wocka.

What is Mike Eaves up to? I think he did a good job running Wisconsin's program for a long time, maybe he would translate to Rockford well.

Read the Trib article about just that concern.

I am very interested in what person Bowman picks.

Indeed. Surprised he lasted that long.

They wanted to and should've fired him after 2012, but Q put up a fight for him. I'm glad they finally tossed Kitchen aside.

Q is definitely being put on notice now.

I'm hearing Ted Dent from Rockford may be given the job. Nothing solid on that, but the younger guys know/respect him. Dent has always been the loyal soldier in Rockford putting development ahead of win/loss record. that's one of the reasons the Blackhawks/Rockford relationship has worked out so well.

I would assume, he is a Bowman guy?

This is a win/win situation as a fan now that Q is raging.

Either we right the ship and get past the first round or this era goes down in a blaze of glory. Next season will be entertaining.
