Well that would free up some significant cap space.

He's allergic to his jock strap. Stan, you did it again!

If he can be LTIRed, no recapture penalty or cap hit

Call me a cynic, but I always figured when Hoss wanted to hang it up, he would invent an injury (back pain or something hard to diagnose) so he can be put on LTIR ala Pronger.

One of the best players of his era, a surefire Hall of Famer, and we don't have any championships without him.

Marian Hossa's wasted prime in Atlanta is downright tragic. 192 points in 162 games on the heels of the lockout when no one was watching, in Atlanta, where no one cared, and now the team has been all but wiped from memory.

He played his prime in the dead puck era and still reached 500 goals and 1,000 points. That alone is amazing.

I will forever be amazed that the 2003 Senators, featuring Martin Havlat, Daniel Alfredsson, Marian Hossa, and Zdeno Chara, went exactly as far as the 2017 Senators, featuring Erik Karlsson and crap.

Jay Z is saying this is probably the move he was told about a couple weeks ago.

This is a shame. He is one of my kids favorite players. Not really sure how it became Hossa but from the very first game she saw in his first year she was a fan of hockey and he was her favorite.

Maybe Seabrook can be diagnosed with gout and go on ltir too

Why retire now? He still has like 12 years left on his contract, right?

I get a mild but annoying case of contact dermatitis a few times a year, mostly on my calves but sometimes on my forearms. I have one just above my left ankle right now, it looks like a scrape which is perpetually 70% healed but takes forever to get better than that, it's been there for a month and will take another month to heal. Doctors think it is environmental exposure.

It is annoying as hell at my minor case level. What these guys are dealing with, I'd be suicidal.

It was probably vaccines that caused it.
