Gustav Forsling? He split last season between Chicago and Rockford. Pretty high ceiling for him: think a Nick Leddy who won't be given up on. He was a little rough last year because it was his first season on 200'x85' ice and that's a pretty big adaptation for a young defenseman to make.

I think his name is Luc Snuggerud, who has been impressing.

Snuggerud is hurt and out for a couple more weeks.

Well, speaking of Leddy, Ville Pokka seems to be a bust. Placed on waivers and if he decided to go back to Finland rather than play in Rockford I'd be hard-pressed to hold it against him.

Looks like it's 1 over 1 for Franson. Fine by me.

Pairings would seem to be
Keith - Seabrook
Murphy - Kempny
Forsling - Franson
with Rutta and for some reason Oesterle rotating in. Oesterle appears to be the Mike Kostka Memorial Tweener 8th D.

You can't blame Stan, IMO. He had to get rid of Leddy. Wish he would of gotten picks.

It was Leddy or Oduya and while Leddy is better today, I don't think they could've rode him in 2015 playoffs the way they rode Oduya. They lose the Anaheim series without Oduya's D.

I'll give it a shot.

Keith/Murphy
Seabrook/Kempny
Franson/Rutta
Oesterle

Forsling sent back to Rockford.

Forsling sent back to Rockford.

Forsling was a cap move to maximize LTIR savings for when Hossa gets placed there. He should be back Thursday (along with DeBrincat)

I hadn't heard that when I posted. I think Forsling needs more time in the AHL. He was Rundbladesque this preseason.

Just saw what Lazerus tweeted yesterday.

#Blackhawks pairings:
Keith-Seabrook
Kempny-Murphy
Forsling-Rutta
Oesterle-Franson

I didn't get to see him play at all. Was Pokka really bad?

3rd pairing, but most importantly a good PP piece
