Don't let the record fool you, Hawks are bad. Real bad. As in, might not make the playoffs bad.

Oilers were preseason favorites to win the Cup, but apparently they also suck, but at least they have the best offensive player in the game to fall back on.

I recommend using my new method for watching Hawks games. Start watching and if they don't score the entire first period, watch the rest of the game on fast forward until they prove they can score a goal.

My head believes what you say but my heart isn't quite there yet. Hope they give us a good season.

yeah there are some fundamental problems with the team, starting at the #1RD

Agreed. Its like he aged 5 years in the offseason.

I no longer consider Keith one of the main core pieces alongside Toews and Kane. Crawford has replaced him.

I am starting to evolve as a Hawks fan. It doesn't bother me when they lose. I find the games entertaining and interesting. How bad is Seabrook going to be? Is Kane going to hustle? How does Q shuffle the lines? How bad will the powerplay look tonight? Does Forsling or Rutta do anything to give you the slightest bit of hope? How about Schamltz, Debrincat, Hartman, or Hayden. What the hell did did Bowman see in Murphy? Is he that middling or are Q's benching vindictive?

Even if they suck, at least we get to see McDavid.

The Hawks look...not entirely bad! Cant' say the same for the Oilers. Their new uniforms look like garbage. Wear bright colors!

You could tell McDavid was scoring there, even before he danced Keith.

McDavid had a glorious rush with a blind pass to Maroon for a tap-in. Seabrook just skated back and watched.

The goal was all McDavid's doing, Maroon just finished what was inevitable.

Lucky to get the loser point. Shakes may be right, this probably isn't a playoff team after all.

I can't be mad about that OT L. Hawks played a good game overall and really got robbed by Talbot on several chances or hit the posts.

Before last night they were tied with the Pens in points. Probably too early to panic.

I also need to add Hawks had the overall advantage in shot attempts, but not shots on goal due to the high number of blocked shots by Edmonton. Hawks controlled possession this game and that's a nice turn from the tend in the previous games.
