Why "let's go pe-ens" instead of "let's go penguins"? I realize "penns" is a common abbreviation for them .... doesn't matter.

Same thing happens with the "Shah-Arks." So annoying.

Well at least they don't have a two-syllable option ... they have to make do; Pittsburgh doesn't have to though. Nuke the entire state.

Very entertaining game tonight, as it should be with four of the last five championships represented.

Clear-cut interference on Maatta but the Hawks always get fucked each way on goal reviews.

Sharp really should have passed to DeBrincat there.

Great win to pick up heading into Tampa (who lost to Long Island tonight but not before making a 4-0 deficit a 4-3 in the third).

Forsling looks great some nights (like tonight!) and horrible others. Such are the growing pains of a young puck-moving defenseman, I suppose.

Still need more from Toews and Kane, need ANYTHING from Sharp at this point.

Q has had his bag skate, his scrimmage and he isn't getting fired so the next power move to shake things up is going to be shit canning sharp. He has been a pile of wet crap since the 3rd game of the season. There is no reason he needs to be on this roster while Vinny sits in Rockford. I can deal with some of the other lesser players but Sharp has nothing to offer now or later.

I would’ve game blogged but forgot my phone in the car. Was wonderful game and atmosphere. Many hawks fans traveled. And we all cheered the correct interference call.

Both Kane and Crosby were non factors really.

That's all true, but McDonough probably wouldn't sign off on waiving him. That's bad for public relations, though continuing to play him is bad for hockey. I feel bad because I wanted him to come back and get his groove back, but man, I dunno. Besides the 2-on-1 where he failed to pass to a wide-open DeBrincat, who's been Mr. Finish, he had another infuriating chance where he was going straight down Broadway and didn't shoot the puck at Murray so much as nudge it. Some guys lose their hands but keep their legs, some lose their legs but keep their hands, Sharp probably lost both but kept his dong.

I think a 2-3 week trip to LTIR for an upper body injury would be good for everyone.

I don't know what he needs more, a trip to LTIR or a trip to ABC7.

Regarding Sharp he is really pressing. On that breakaway like rush he should have passed for a certain goal. But no weak shot and no goal.
