I don't have any anecdotes about Vancouver to offer. I like to imagine it's a nice place. It could be Calcutta for all I know.

Watch, or don't.

God, attendance tonight is a bomb scare. If Chicago, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, and Montreal are all struggling, the NHL could be in a very unhealthy place. They're not gonna make that money up in Nashville.

Well if they'd quit kneeling for the anthem maybe their numbers would pick up.

Is it possible that of Toews and Kane, it was Kane who had the superhuman work ethic and devotion all along?

It's at least worthy enough of some discussion. Still, I don't know that Kane gets to this point without Capt Serious.

Weed and high level hockey don't mix. Get the captain to hit a few rails before the next game and he'll have at least 3 pts.

It does seem that Kane is more of the hockey nerd and loves the game more.

That game was dull as hell. Easily could have 6 or 7-1 if Forsberg didn't make some great (lucky?) saves.

A healthy Toronto goes a long way towards making up for that, especially when the playoffs come around.

It's also possible that Toews has been dealing with back problems the past few years and those can derail any pro's career.

Guys, no one loves Kane more than me, but let's not compare him to Toews in terms of where they are in their careers right now. Toews has had to put much harder minutes on his body than Kane has. That takes a toll after a decade.

With the NHL's luck the Leafs will win the Cup next year and then they'll have a 2-year lockout.

Kane's OT winner tonight is a sterling example of our best player singlehandedly willing his team over the finish line. Congrats to Jeff Glass on his first NHL win but not before blowing a two-goal lead in the last two minutes.

Yep. Kane needs to hit Ovechkin/Crosby levels of stardom consistently if the window is to remain open, since Toews appears incapable of doing such things anymore.
