1st: 8th
1st: 27th - from Nashville for Hartman/Ejdsell/4th
2nd: 38th - to Montreal for Fleischmann/Weise
3rd: 69th (nice)
3rd: 87th - from Washington via New Jersey via Toronto for Kempny
4th: 100th - to Dallas for Oduya
4th: 120th - from Nashville for Hartman/Ejdsell/4th
5th: 131st - to Nashville for Hartman/Ejdsell/4th
5th: 142nd - from Columbus for Panarin
6th: 162nd
7th: 193rd

Prediction: Stan fixates on Oliver Wahlstrom (somehow a Swede AND a NatDev guy so the Bowmans have to love him) and Quinn Hughes (Michigan) at #8, if he gets neither, trades the pick, but too late to get maximum return. Other than that, I predict too many USHL/USNDT/NCAA guys, a coupl'a Swedes, a galoot from western Junior A, and no one from the Q.

I would like the Hawks to draft a stud 1st line centre.

As I understand it, Keith TheChuck's son is in this draft as well and pegged as a 1st round draft pick.

Tkachuk's kid will be gone by 5-7.

I would love the Hawks to get Hughes, Wahlstrom, or Kotkaniemi. There is talk of Montreal wanting to trade down from #3 to get Kotkaniemi. The Hawks should be all over that in order to draft Zadina. I just hope they don't take Bouchard or Dobson. Ultimately, I trust the Hawks drafting but Bouchard and Dobson seem like safe, high-ceiling guys and I want the Hawks to take a chance on greatness.

At 27 I want the Hawks to take the BPA. Berggren, Bokk, Kaut, or the best dman that falls would be fantastic.

If Dobson is available, I'd take him. Big, agile defenseman would certainly fill a need and The Rink podcast compared him to prime Seabrook, only with a higher upside.

I know what's you're saying. I have read so many draft reviews and different analysts definitely have their favorites. For me, if you can get a sniper like Wahlstrom who is slight level below Laine, you jump on it. If all goes right, Wahlstrom projects to be a 35-40 goal scorer and would make a great combo with Kane and/or Schmaltz. Hughes was the youngest player in the Big 10 last year and was dominant the 2nd half of the season. He is considered the best skater in the draft and will be great at exiting the zone and QBing the PP. Kotkaniemi has a high ceiling and should easily slot as a high-end #2 C down the road. Overall, I'd much rather take the high-end forward and take the best dman at spot 27. The fact that the Hawks hit with the Joker and Mitchell last season makes dman a little less of a priority this season.

I've seen some mock drafts have him at 8 to the Hawks.

I always like the Canadiens' bilingual draft pick announcements.

They overdrafted Kotkaniemi. We might get the Tkachuk after all.

EDIT: nope, went to Awtawaw.

Surely the Wings will grab Zadina but that leaves the Hawks one of Wahlstrom, Hughes, or Dobson, so that's cool.

I think I meant Hobson. Yep, Wings took the best Euro available!

Canucks went with Hughes. Lots of options for Hawks

Thanks to the Habs and Yotes for making sure the Hawks will get a pretty good pick here.

Highest upside dman after Dahlin. Concussion concerns, needs a lot of work on his defensive game, and furthest away from the NHL. Could be a homerun or a bust. Bowman better be right.

I like it. Fast, agile defenseman that can also help out offensively.

That one goal at the end of the highlight reel they showed was dope. Future stud confirmed.

Wahlstrom probably headed to the Isles with one of their two in a row.

Dobson and Wahlstrom would be quite the coup for the Islanders.

Everything's coming up Islanders. Just gotta get Tavares signed now.

They did. With D a weak spot and Crow still at Passages Malibu how does Stan not top that offer for them? There have been Grubauer rumblings with the Hawks attached for a few days.
