I've watched a lot of Leaf hockey this year. I don't know who this team is. The injuries to Kapanen, Gardiner, Dermott, and Hyman have killed the team's depth especially the blue line which was always the team's weakness. The fucking Hawks are going to blueball this season. They won't make the playoff and will blow getting a top 10 pick. And with Kane and Toews having career years and Gustafson having a horseshoe stuck up his ass since the New Year, they'll still not have anything to show for it. Maybe they prove me wrong.

Most definitely. Even if this isn't enough to get them back in the playoffs this year, I think it's important personally and historically for him to have a season like this. It wasn't right for the captain/#1C of three championship teams to drop off the way he was.

Eh, I'm looking at the rest of the season as fun/bad. At least they are scoring goals, making it entertaining, and losing is an added bonus for a better draft pick.

Yeah, it definitely looks more hopeful as this season winds down as opposed to last season. They are near certain to finish with a better record than last season, and should have enough cash to shore up the defense next season, provided they don't do something stupid like overpay for a streaky Panarin.
