Either way, Crawford is done with the Hawks after this season, and may be done, period, so the money thing isn’t that big a deal for one year. After pondering the signing of Lehner....I think the Hawks are done with Crawford. I guess he could be goalie 1A for a year, but there's no way Lehner turns down $10 guaranteed to be Crawford's backup or the 1A goelie.

I am not worried if he is going to be anything. I am saying that, if you already knew you soured on one of your D prospects, to pass on a guy that will 100% play his 1st season and that is being projected as a #1 Duncan Keith type Dman, is madness.

They had too many D men. I assume they felt this deal got rid of the logjam and got them the best value.
