Not that I recall.

Hell, they fired the beloved (but inept) Denis Savard after four games, and he was 1-2-1 at the time; of course, they already had Q in the building.

For a team that had aspirations to make the playoffs this season, the start has been a disaster. They need to do something fast. There are some calling for bringing in Tortorella, but then again, look at the Jackets and how they are off to a 3-1 start, and that’s after trading Seth, Atkinson, and Foligno (he was a deadline deal last season, but still…) and launching Torts. Torts could be a short-term fix for the Hawks, but he will find someone on the team to alienate and cause friction. Laine was his “pet” last season, and he’s already playing much better so far this season.

Forget 0-4-1. Do you know what's more embarrassing than that? 17-3, that's what the Hawks are being outscored at on 5-5 play. How does anyone in hockey ops or the coaching staff still have a job?

I don't understand why they are married to this guy? It's not like he was some outstanding coaching prospect. He was the the mid season replacement for Q. This has to be Stan trying to cover his own ass by letting JC be the punching bag. You had such an easy out to part ways with Stan this summer and yet here they are as the worst team in the league by far. Is there anyone in that building willing to fire the mighty stand bowman and then let the dominoes fall underneath him?
