Don't worry, Colliton started righting the ship this morning with a bag skate. Its as if he is asking to get fired. Between this and giving the playcalling to Debrincat last night he is begging the players to stop defending him. Stan won't do it. I don't want Stan to fire him either. I want whomever fires Stan to do it.

I have seen nothing about him being fired and considering Parkins knows nothing about hockey or the Hawks it had to have been a bit.

Wow, this really is the best sports talk radio show in Chicago!

It will end up being a double firing. No way Stan cuts him loose, would leave him moe exposed than he already is.

And this Seth Jones trade and extension is going to make the Seabrook contract look good.

Hoping for an Auston Matthews & Mitch Marner clinic tonight…who knows..maybe Josh Donaldson will bury one in the back of the net and finally Jeremy Nagy will meet his Waterloo.

Leafs win, but Marner isn't putting on a clinic for anyone. His start to this season has been worse than Toews and at least Toews has the excuses of age and missing all of last year.

Going to have to be more specific when I throw around "cocksucker" I guess

interim GM is a Stan guy so who knows. Plus they were dumb and gave Jeremy an extension before this season when no one wanted him back so they have to pay that out. Wirtz's are probably about to go cheap

Well shit. Welp, I'm gonna root for bad then just like most of the late nineties and the ought.

Ya know, after a lifetime of despising the ownership, I had 13 years of not knowing I despised ownership, and now I despise ownership openly again.

Despising ownership is part of being a fan in Chicago. I already despised Reinsdorf and the McCaskeys so it figures it was right to hate the Wirtz family again

Would they try to bring Savard back, for some warm and fuzzy feelings?

It appears he knows his shit. He is gone. Too bad it was so late that they are fucked this season.

About time. Let’s see if they can turn this around enough to be respectable.

Until Towes and Kane are gone, they are not going to go full rebuild mode. They are going to continue to spin their wheels and retool.

They are in such a hole that IDK what they should do. Jackass Stan traded the 1st rd pick so someone is getting a high pick. Do you just punt the season and hope for a lottery pick or do you punt the pick and try to fix this team?

Not sure, either. The Blues fired their coach in November and after the new year, they played lights out and won the Cup. Not saying Hawks will do that but they have enough talent to make the playoffs. I don’t like tanking but I think it’s probably the best way to get back into long term contention. Sell as many as you can, get as much as you can for them and start fresh.

They keep the pick if it’s top 2 or maybe 3, otherwise it goes to CBJ.

This is probably a way of getting rid of him as well.

Probably. The new full time head coach will want his own staff.

This was someone’s take over on hockeybuzz.com:

Hire Eddie as full on President
Somehow get Rick Dudley as GM
Hire Tocchet as coach

Dudley is 72...but knows his stuff. He can assess the hell out of talent and organizations. Let him figure out who stays and goes the next year or two - and help Eddie find/groom/mentor the next best GM.

Then Dudley can get the Scotty Bowman paycheck of Senior Executive VP of Operations and Community Services....

Tocchet at that time will be 2-3yrs in and the new GM would figure out if he stays or goes. But Rick will get honest efforts out of players and respect out of the vets. (See Phil Kessel)

The Hawks will have money to spend...especially if they make the right moves here

King seems to be an odd choice for interim with Crawford already there. Does it mean that King is someone they are interested in being the real coach and they want to see how he will do

Maybe his history of abusing players would be a bad look for a team recovering from a sexual assault allegation.
