Man, that really sucks. As someone who had to get by with radio for a long time, even after the home games came back in 2008, I've listened to a lot of Troy Murray over the years. I wish him nothing but the best.

Listen to a bunch of Hawks games on the radio also. Has to be the hardest radio broadcast of all the major sports, Murray and Wiedeman do a really nice job.

Honestly, as a serious hockey broadcast those two have been much better than Foley and Edzo giggling over "eeeeemediately" or "tree-turdy-tree in the turd" for a long time. Liked Troy as a player back in the day too. Hope he's okay and back in the booth soon.

Troy Murray has come a long, long way since 2006, when I said he was like Hockey Ron Santo. He's become a terrific analyst, critical when necessary, and yes, compared to the shtick on the TV side, the radio broadcast is a very nice, no-nonsense affair. I hope that he can not only continue on but possibly shift to television with Wiedeman once Foley retires and Olczyk probably scales down to national work only.
